The aim of the challenge is simple! l To develop a product or service and sell it profitably on a real market stall.

The challenge is open to all 5 to 19 year olds in the Bradford district and is free to enter. It is designed to be appropriate to suit all age and ability levels and there are two age categories (5 to 11 years or 11 to 19 years).
Any young person can take part in the challenge, either as an individual or a group. They must be linked to a social club, community group, school, college or other official organisation (referred to as centre).
This year the Market Challenge will follow on form last year with market stall place available in Keighley’s Church Green and Darley Street in Bradford. The teams who enter can choose which one they would like to attend.
Children and young people from across the district are invited to have put forward a huge variety of ideas. Last years entries included cookery books, handmade chocolates, puzzles and personalised tea cups!
They get a chance to pitch their ideas to a panel of judges at a series of Dragon’s Den style events in March, with the successful proposals going forward to the market stalls in June and July 2012.
The Information Pack for Organisers (downloadable below) has everything you need to know to enter the challenge and you do not need any prior knowledge of business or enterprise.
