Resources 1, 2 and 3 cover various workshops lead by Step Up Enterprise Enablers over the past few years. They are a mix of both practical skills and fun workshops to be enjoyed by pupils. We hope the resources will help teachers and practitioners to deliver these workshops in their schools.
Resource 1 covers:
Aspirations Workshop - Pupils get the opportunity to create a dream board. The session is for 8 – 19 year olds. Aspiration rising is a huge part of Enterprise. This workshop explores young people’s aspirations by way of using images from newspapers and magazines in order to paint a visual representation of who they are and inspire to be on a piece of A4 or A3 card. The session also looks at 10 Steps on how to meet those aims by setting long term targets for themselves.
ESCO Health and Beauty - This is a fun, enterprising and sometimes messy session making a variety of beauty products such as avocado and carrot face mask. You can make the products, study existing products, design your own branding, and even pitch your product. This is aimed at ten and above.
CV and Interviewing Techniques - This eight week C.V and interview skills programme uses a variety of enterprising skills and fun interactive activities aimed at 14-19 year olds. They are broken into hourly sessions and cover a variety of issues around what to look for in job adverts, how to write a covering letter, writing a C.V, researching companies, interview skills and body language.
Rocket Building - This is a fun and interactive 40 minute session aimed for five year olds and above, even adults love it. You can use this activity in a variety of ways from a fun team building activity to a team against team competition.
