Step Up Market Challenge 2011
September will see the launch of the Step Up Market Challenge 2011. Information packs will be sent out across the district and include a brochure, contact details and a nomination form.
This year there will be an extra market day on Keighley’s Church Green as well as Bradford’s Darley St. Teams will have the opportunity to choose which location they would prefer.
Because of the recent disruption caused by the snow, schools have requested that we extend the deadline for nomination forms to ensure that they still have the time to take part.
The forms must now be with Step Up Enterprise by Friday 28th January. The nomination form can be downloaded from the Market Challenge 2011 page.

Market Challenge Primary Events
During November Step Up Enterprise hosted 4 Market Challenge workshops. These events turned out to be a huge success with over 400 primary school pupils taking part.
The two-hour sessions offered fun and interactive challenges designed to inspire and motivate the pupils to come up with ideas for products and think about how they would run their own enterprise.
They are building up to the Step Up Market Challenge which will see dozens of young people aged five to 19 running their own market stalls and selling their own products next summer.
Coun Ralph Berry, Bradford Council’s Executive Member for Children’s Services and Education, said: “The workshops were a great way for children to learn how they can turn a good idea into a winning business.
“They are excellent preparation for the Market Challenge – this year’s event was a huge success and hopefully next summer’s will be just as popular.”
19th January 2011 - Deadline for Market Challenge 2011 Nomination Forms.
All entries to the Step Up Market Challenge need to be submitted by 4pm on Wednesday 19th January 2011.
