More than 200 entries were been submitted to the 2011 Market Challenge.
The Step Up Enterprise Market Challenge received twice as many entries compared to the previous year.
Young people aged five to 19 from across the district have put forward a huge variety of ideas, ranging from jewellery and chocolates to bird scarers and recycled robots.
Judges came from the local business community and include Seabrook Crisps Finance Director Colin Taverner, Bombay Stores Managing Director Saleem Kader and the manager of Airedale Shopping Centre in Keighley, Steve Seymour.
A hundred teams were shortlisted to pitch their ideas to a panel of judges at a series of Dragon’s Den style events in March 2011, with the 29 successful proposals went onto sell their goods at market stalls in the City Centre and Keighley in the summer.
