Young people from across the district will have the opportunity to come to a careers event called What Next? run in partnership with Connexions Bradfordand Bradford Councils bsomeone campaign.
What Next? event is aimed at 16+ helping school leavers and NEET young people find out about and get signed up to a range of employment/ training and college options in the Bradford District.
There will be over 40+ providers from education, training and services related to young people who will be able to offer help, guidance and opportunities for the young people to help them move on to the next step.
Connexions personal advisors will be there to take the young people around the stands to ensure they get the maximum benefit from the event.
The event will be held at the Midland hotel between 1pm – 5pm on Thursday 22nd September. All young people who attend will be entered into a free prize draw to win an iPod Shuffle.
Coun Ralph Berry, Executive member for children and young people, said: “this event is a great chance for young people from across the district that are still unsure abouteducation and training opportunities to come along and talk to personal advisers and providers.”
All 16+ young people who have recently left school and are undecided about their future or unemployed should come along and pop in, no appointment is necessary. Parents and guardians are also very welcome.
