Young Citizen Awards
Bradford celebrated its young citizens in a star studded event held at St Georges Hall. The Young Citizen Awards celebrated children and young people’s achievements as well as showcasing some of Bradford’s finest performers. The event was an exciting and moving tribute to all Bradford’s young citizens who are making a difference and want to b someone of their future.
Everyone nominated showed that you can make a difference and impact on what you believe in. There were six categories and two age groups, as well as an overall outstanding achievement award.

| Matthew Cairns-Poole | Outstanding Achievement | |
The outstanding achievement award was given to Matthew Cairns-Poole, a pupil at Hanson school who was nominated for his outstanding strength and determination within himself, for his family and his community. Matthew has been elected as vice chairman of Young Enterprise at school and he is active within Bradford North benefiting others as a BKYP member.
